FORTHCOMING SHOW: On occasion of the centenary of Surrealism with the publication of Breton's first Manifesto (Oct 1924), the exhibition "Giorgio de Chirico: 1924" (curated by V. Noel-Johnson, Museo di Arti Decorative, Fondazione Accorsi-Ometto, Turin, 8 November 2024 - 2 March 2025) will exhibit over 50 works by de Chirico dated 1921-1928, in an attempt to revise his parallel relationship with the Surrealists. Featuring over 60 works lent by prestigious museums, institutions and private collections, the show explores the creative osmosis that took place in the work of Sage (1898-1963) and Tanguy (1900-1955), two eminent Surrealist artists who married in 1940. Noel-Johnson, Palazzo Franchetti, Venice, 5.11.22-10.4.23. Featuring 140 photographs and artworks by Lee Miller and Man Ray, the exhibition seeks to re-explore Miller's and Ray's professional and personal relationship between 1929-1932, which gave rise to one of the most extraordinary artistic rapports of the early 20th century. Honoured to have partecipated in the "Modigliani" symposium held at Museum Barberini, Potsdam, 26 October 2022 (in preparation of the forthcoming exhibition to be held there in Autumn 2023) with a lecture on Modigliani's role with Italy and the Italian avant-garde.	Opening soon! The first exhibition to be dedicated to Miro' in Belgium since 1956. Consisting of over 100 works, this show curated by V. Noel-Johnson focuses on Miro's traditional artistic formation and how his artwork dialogues with the art of the past and present. Hot off the press! Publication "Fulvio Roiter: High-Rise New York", edited by V. Noel-Johnson in collaboration with Fondazione Fulvio Roiter and Casa Italiana Zerill-Marimò (NYU, New York). English/Italian edition, Skira, Milan. April 2022.	Recent opening of the photographic exhibition "Fulvio Roiter: High-Rise New York", curated by V. Noel-Johnson in collaboration with Fondazione Fulvio Roiter. Organised to mark the 20th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the show consists of a selection of extraordinary photos of New York taken by the internationally-renowned Venetian photographer Roiter shortly before the Twin Towers attack. It will be held at Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò, New York University. 10 September 2021 - 31 March 2022
Research trip to Fundaciò Joan Mirò in Barcelona for forthcoming exhibition project....watch this space. 28 - 30 June 2021	Recent exhibition opening: "Picasso, de Chirico and Dalì: Dialogue with Raphael" (curated by B. Avanzi and V. Noel-Johnson, MART, Rovereto, 2 May - 29 August 2021). Organised on occasion of the 500° anniversary of Raphael's death, the show explores the different ways in which the Old Master inspired the work of three of the 20th century's greatest artists. Just opened: "de Chirico - Ventrone" (curated by V. Sgarbi and V. Noel-Johnson, 14 June - 4 November 2021, Erice, Sicily). This exhibition explores points of contact present in Giorgio de Chirico's metaphysical still lives and contemporary artist Luciano Ventrone's hyper-realistic still life works. Held at Fondazione Erice Arte and Fondazione Ettore Majorana, Sicily, this exhibition is accompanied by a fully-illustrated catalogue (Il Cigno Editoriale, Rome).	New article publication: V.
